Staff Responsibilities concerning Advisory & PAWS
During AdvisoryTake attendance at 9AM.
Teach the appropriate advisory lesson or cover the objectives of the advisory lesson for the duration of the advisory period. Engage students in the lesson or discussion so as to discourage students from using Advisory time as PAWS time. Encourage students to participate in a way that is respectful and open-minded. During PAWSTake student attendance at 9AM. Send CCCTC & students with FlexTracker passes when 9:01AM bell rings.
Work to ensure that all students are engaged in academic or club related endeavors. Request students back in your classes that are struggling, are in danger of failing, have requested a pass or might benefit from working with you in a smaller group setting. Use the Advisory Snapshot to review grades with advisees and to work with those that are struggling academically. Remind students that all students with passes must go to their requested location. Help students navigate the Trump System. Do not permit students to enter the hall without a pass. Report students that are consistently out of area or off-task. |
